About the software
Alteros3D is a 3D/2D graphic viewer and multimedia player with a customizable interface. The program allows you to view any 3D file (3DS, VRML, TrueSpace, LightWave and many other formats), as well as 2D graphic files (PSD, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF and many others). The built-in text editor allows you to view and edit TXT or RTF files.
Alteros3D can display HTML files and other documents through the OLE interface (requires Internet Explorer installed).
The built-in media player plays DVD-video discs, video and audio files.
The program interface can be easily changed using skins. Additionally, Alteros3D has its own desktop format: ADESK. Using ADESK files you can create graphical interfaces with different commands and links. ADESK files can be used as the Alteros3D startup interface, as well as the user’s CDROM interface, if Alteros3D is used as the CD autorun shell.
Alteros3D allows you to open any number of documents simultaneously. The handy task manager, designed in the style of the Windows taskbar, is used to switch between open documents.

- Copy the result of rendering 3D images to the clipboard.
- Rotation and scaling of 3D objects. Alterations of lighting, transparency, material type and display mode of 3D objects, as well as many other settings for 3D scenes.
- Displays 2D graphic formats: bmp, btn3, tbtn, dib, emf, gif, ico, icl, jpe, jpeg, jpg, pcx, rle, tga, wmf, psd, tiff, png, ppm, cel, iff, rgb, fli/flc (first frame only), pic, tim.
- Preview thumbnails of 2D files.
- Save files in BMP and JPEG formats.
- “Zoom in” and “Zoom out” modes, floating screen (using mouse only, no keyboard).

- Show and edit text files: txt, rtf. All unrecognized file types are opened with the text editor.
- Browser to view HTML files (requires Internet Explorer installed). The browser allows you to view any OLE document (for example: MS Word, MS Excel files). This option requires relevant programs to be installed on the PC.
- The file manager allows opening, sorting files and supports all major file operations (delete, rename, copy, move).
