Not only does a great day, but discovering about local history can be fascinating.
Particularly if you are new in an area or visiting from another place, a museum can teach you a lot about the industrial, environmental and creative stories of a city or city.
Museums can also have very soothing atmospheres, which makes them ideal for a cheap day.
Go to your local market

From football to rugby, there is something to see everyone. I could even find out where the Lacrosse local team plays: it is interesting to see it if you have never seen it.
If you head to see a game in the colder months, take many layers, a camp chair, some snacks and a hot drink in a flask.

Going in a cyclist is a brilliant way of exercising and seeing more a city or city. You can use your own bicycle or even borrow a friend if you don’t have one.
It is a good idea to plan a route in advance to try to see the greatest number of local places as I can.
That said, however, if you know an area well, you may want to leave and see where the bicycle takes it. Just make sure you know the way home or have access to a map.

It is worth asking to see if any pubs in your area organizes live music nights. You may find a place that houses a jazz performance, for example, or an open microphone night.
Then you can take note of when a bar executes events so that you have something to go every week. Of course, you may have to buy a drink when it is at the bar, but it has a non -alcoholic beverage, you can still keep your costs.
Search for local art galleries
See if you can find any art gallery near you. They do not necessarily have to be massive, but if you live in a small town, it is an excellent way to find out about local artists.
You can discover a lot about what art style you like simply looking around.
Particularly in small art galleries, you will often find that there is someone working there who is happy to talk about the exhibition pieces. Do not be afraid to ask questions if there is something you want to know.
Visit a flower garden
If you are looking for a serene experience, visiting a flower garden can be in your future.
Take free coffee to walk and make an afternoon. You may see some flowers with which you are not familiar, or get some inspiration for the next time you buy flowers or plants for your home.
You can also take a notebook and a pen to draw the landscape or the prettiest flowers you see!
Shop shopping
Explore stores in your area to get ideas for your university bedroom or for the clothes you want to save. Remember, navigate is free!
Maybe your friend’s birthday is coming and you are looking for gift inspiration. You can use this time to find current ideas and recreate them at home at a minimum cost.
Be attentive to seasonal events
Be attentive to seasonal events in your area.

Ask to see if someone who knows has a board and can show you one or two things.
Even if you are not a great skater, it is free to see those who are experienced skaters, especially if it is a large skating park.
Go to a free outdoor gym
A lot of parks have outdoor gyms. These are great if you don’t have a membership in the gym and want to be more active.

Some places also have a table tennis table. If you are lucky, there may be a couple of palettes and table tennis balls there that you can use, but otherwise you must bring your own.

The library is such a underestimated place to relax. In fact, the library’s access is one of the best free things you can get from college.
It is likely to register on a library card before taking out any book or DVD.
In addition, most libraries will allow you to read for free in the building if you don’t want to get anything. So look for a comfortable chair, sit down and relax.
Consider wild swimming
If you are not familiar with wild swimming, it is when I swim outside in a natural body of water.
It is more risky than swimming in an inner pool, so it is important that you investigate a lot and know the safest ways to do it.

In particular, look for open water sites that have lifeguard. You may find that you must pay a bit for life places of swimming, but hopefully it will not cost much.

Create your own tourist route
There are often much more public art around what we believe.
Maybe there are sculptures that you hurry when you run to your bus, or painted street art that you have never taken the time to study completely.
Finding the finest details in your environment can make a daily trip much more fun. It might surprise you.
Do some works of art at home
There are many ways to create art without spending a penny.
If you like to draw, try to be creative and draw a landscape near you. Sit out outdoors and draw what you see.
Likewise, you could look for objects in your home that are interesting to draw.
Do not worry if you are not an experienced artist. You do not need to create a masterpiece: only the drawing process can be a lot of fun.
If you do not feel like drawing with a pencil but you have no paintings, you can try to use natural materials.
You can get a cup of water, take a brush (or use your fingers), take some mud and mix it with water to create brown ‘paint’. It may not be the easiest material to create art, but it could be a fun challenge to create line drawings with it.
